Low Cost EPA Method 5035 Soil Sample Adapter for Purge and Trap Autosamplers.

MDL Systems' SingleSpot 5035^TM is now available for upgrading multi-position purge and trap autosamplers to run soil samples by EPA Method 5035. This method is a closed-system purge and trap procedure for field sampling soils and analyzing them without opening the container. The SingleSpot system is quickly installed on existing autosamplers to allow directly purging, heating, and stirring the 40mL septum-top purge vial containing the soil sample. It is compatible with many different purge and trap systems, including sixteen position autosamplers such as the Tekmar 2016 and OI DPM16.

SingleSpot is perfect for laboratories needing to analyze 5 or 6 samples a day, since the system is manually loaded. Even labs with automated 5035-capable systems can use a SingleSpot to provide a backup capability for their failure-prone robotic autosamplers. In the time-definite analytical results market which labs find themselves serving, this backup capability is crucial to keeping customers satisfied.
