 Technical Note Regarding Pentachloroethane:

Stability studies over the past few years indicate that Pentachloroethane is stable with the other analytes contained in ECS-A-046.
However, in the presence of certain Halocarbons, such as those found in ECS-A-033, Pentachloroethane breaks down into a significant amount of Tetrachlorethene.  For those of you who prepare your standards less frequently than once per week, you may wish to purchase ECS-A-046XP and ECS-A-PCE rather than ECS-A-046 and adjust your standards preparation accordingly.
